Air Rotary

This is the most common way we drill in consolidated and cemented formations. Air, water, and a foaming agent are used to evacuate the wellbore as the formation is drilled. The formation stability needs to be fairly stable or homogeneous to complete this type of drilling. With this style of drilling, we are able to see and estimate the approximate rate of flow as we proceed down through the formation strata.
